Curtis Schmidt OD is an avid fisherman, but it's his patients who have fallen for his warm nature and expert care hook, line and sinker. Dr. Schmidt’s earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Doctor of Optometry degree, along with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. His experience includes diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and vision disorders along with primary eye care for children and adults.

A member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Northeast Florida Optometric Society, he has also served as an adjunct faculty for the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Fully board certified, Dr. Schmidt is married to optometric physician, Dr. Jill Tamsett-Schmidt and is the father of two boys. When he’s not in the office, he coaches his sons' soccer teams and cheers on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Florida State Seminoles.
